About the Polanyiana Journal
Polanyiana (1991-) is an academic journal published and owned by the Michael Polanyi Liberal Philosophical Association. It publishes scholarly essays concerned with the various facets of Polanyi's work and their relevance for further studies. The journal invites submissions from the fields of aesthetics, chemistry, economic thought, ethics, history of science, intellectual history, literature, medicine, philosophy, philosophy of AI, philosophy of science, psychology (including Gestalt and other related holistic approaches), refugee studies, science and technology studies (STS), sociology, and sociology of science.
The journal publishes two issues per year. The regular issues include research articles, review articles, reviews, book discussions, translations and publications of Polanyi's work. Thematic issues focus on a specific segment of Polanyi's work or on a well-circumscribed part of the Polanyi scholarship. Research article and review article submissions have gone through a process of double blind peer review, having two reviewers each.
Polanyiana is an online journal. All issues, including the current one, are available in the digital archives of the official website (Browse Volumes section). This open access policy aims to foster further Polanyi-related studies by helping scholars to search, read and use previous contributions.
